Colleen Sexton | RDN, CSO, CSG, LD, CD, Dietitian Nutritionist
Nutrition is fundamental to good health and to healing. Research shows that employing good nutrition strategies can improve response to cancer treatments, reduce side effects and improve quality of life.
As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certified in Oncology Nutrition, I enjoy meeting people in their cancer journey, along with their family and friends. It is a privilege to enter into a slice of their lives and together devise nutrition strategies and plans to improve their lives during the journey.
I am passionate about this work and am committed to reducing the risk for cancer or cancer recurrence through teaching about cancer fighting nutrition choices. I am also a member of the Oncology Nutrition Practice Group and the Gerontology Nutrition Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Activities I enjoy include getting my expanding family together. I enjoy hiking in the mountains, bicycling, making a feast and sharing it with many people around the table, gardening, visiting the North Shore of Lake Superior and playing the piano. I love to meet up with my sisters!
