Getting a Second Opinion?

If you or someone you love has received a cancer diagnosis, you probably have a lot of questions.
  • What is the best treatment for me? Do I need surgery or radiation? Will chemotherapy be needed? Who are my doctors?
  • What if treatment doesn’t work? What is a clinical trial? Can I be part of one?
  • Am I doing everything I can to get well?

At the Cancer Center of Western Wisconsin, we recognize the reassurance of a second opinion. It allows you and your loved ones to ask questions and explore options. It can ensure the patient receives the correct diagnosis and the best treatment for their type of cancer.

Asking for a second opinion doesn’t mean you think the first diagnosis is wrong or that you doubt your doctor. In fact, it may give you peace of mind by confirming your diagnosis. You can then feel confident moving forward with your recommended treatment plan.
